Cake Initiative

To maintain a meaningful connection with the children we support, we run a monthly initiative dubbed the cake initiative. Through this initiative, we buy and share cake with all the homes we've visited every month. This is to jointly celebrate with all the children born on that month and to give them a sense of community. Through our monthly check ins with all the home's we've visited, we get to check the scale of our impact, encourage the children, boost their supplies where we can and remind them that they too are loved and very capable of achieving all their dreams. Additionally, we write them affirmations on individual cards and remind them of their worth even as we hope to make them smile while reminding them of their strength at least once every month.
